Artike is an app for people who want to look up an article for a German word.

It's suitable for those who learn German, who use German for their work or daily business or for native speakers who are not sure which article some certain word has.

I've designed the app originally for my personal needs and I keep using it. I needed something very simple to quickly lookup the articles as I'm not a native German speaker and I'm not always sure which article to use.

First I've tried some existing apps, but they seemed to be either slow in response or didn't have the word I was searching for.

Artike is to address both of the aspects, however, you would need the Internet connection in most of the cases.

The dictionary contains about 27k words at the moment and keeps growing every day.

Artike app has just search function. I may add some other features in future but I want to keep it as simple as possible and not overload it with something rarely needed.

And yes, I've put the price on it to cover maintenance costs. On the other hand you don't have any advertisement within the app or hidden limitations that force you to pay later.
